XFX GeForce GTX 260 XXX
$340.00
Released June, 2008
The Pros:Far better price/performance ratio than the GTX280, for users that don't need absolute top performance the GTX260 is well worth considering. Provides a good performance bump in SLI configuration. Offers a 10% increase in performance over stock clocked GTX260 for a reasonable price increase.
The Cons:Runs hot in SLI configuration, users will need to ensure a good air flow within the case. Whilst it is faster than the HD4870, in pure performance/price terms the GTX260 XXX is behind, up to the buyer to decide which is more important.
The XFX GeForce GTX 260 XXX is a double slot high end graphics card with 896 MB of DDR3 ram. Using the stock NVIDIA cooler, the card is clocked at enhanced 640MHz/2300MHz (gpu/memory) timings. For more information on the GTX 260 refer to the full report.
