With DirectX 10 support, the 512MB GeForce 8800 GT should run most of 2009's mainstream PC games with ease. The unit features 112 processor cores, a 256-bit frame buffer to maintain high frame rates, and a second-generation PureVideo HD engine, which Nvidia claims enhances picture quality for PC Blu-ray playback. Nvidia also incorporates compatibility with PCI Express 2.0 bus architecture, in an attempt to future-proof the 8800 GT.
