The Cons:Not capable of playing latest flight simulators on high-graphics mode. Fan is audible, can make a buzzing sound when dust gets in it.
The 8500 GT is a lower-end model in Nvidia's 8 Series of consumer desktop graphics cards. Less aimed at gaming applications than higher-end 8 Series models, the 8500 GT is a less expensive option that fully supports Windows Vista's graphical enhancements while retaining support for DirectX 10.

With only 16 processor cores and relatively low clock speeds, however, the 8500 GT may struggle with demanding graphics applications in either its 256MB or 512MB version. The GeForce 8500 GT is a step up from the 8 Series' entry level model, the 8400 GS, mainly in that it utilizes a 128-bit, rather than 64-bit, memory interface.
