nVidia GeForce 8300

The nVidia GeForce 8300 is a low-end internal graphical processing unit similar to the nVidia GeForce 8200. The main improvements that the GeForce 8300 offers over the GeForce 8200 are: an improved shader clock rate of 1500MHz (as opposed to the 8200's 1200MHz) and 72 GFLOPs of raw processing power (as opposed to 57.6 GFLOPs).

Otherwise, the GeForce 8300 and GeForce 8200 sport the same basic features, including VGA, Single Link DVI and HDMI ports as well as DirectX 10 compatibility.

The GeForce 8300's 1500MHz shader clock rate and 72 GFLOPs of processing power make it a competent everyday desktop GPU but it is unsuited for most modern gaming on anything but the lowest settings. However, the GeForce 8300 is able to handle 1080p high definition media playback, making it best suited for multimedia/entertainment setups. Additionally, the GeForce 8300's outputs allow for multiple monitors/HDTVs.
