Product Shot 1The nVidia GeForce 8200 is a low-end internal desktop graphical processing unit similar to the nVidia GeForce 8100. The GeForce 8200's only improvement over the GeForce 8100 is its ability to handle 1080p high definition media as well as being HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection) compatible.

Otherwise, the GeForce 8200 sports the exact same specifications as the GeForce 8100, including up to 512MB of DDR2 graphical memory (depends on installed system memory) and a 500MHz core clock speed as well as VGA, Single Link DVI and HDMI ports.

The GeForce 8200's maximum 512MB of memory, 500MHz core clock speed and other graphical specifications make it unsuitable for any modern gaming purposes but its 1080p high definition media support (1920x1200 maximum digital resolution, 2048x1536 maximum analog resolution) makes the GeForce 8200 appropriate for entertainment/multimedia use. Meanwhile, the GeForce 8200's HDCP support provides HDCP high definition playback via DVI and HDMI.
