EVGA GeForce 9600 GT Superclocked
$170.00
Released February, 2008
The Pros:Good over clocking potential, even after the stock overclock. Great step up in terms of performance compared to the previous generation mid tier model (8600GT). Reduced power consumption compared to the GeForce 8 series cards such as 8800GT.
The Cons:GPU architecture/core is identical to the 8800GT, just a die shrink to improve efficiency and reduce power consumption. Noise can be loud underload. No HDMI adapter or SPDIF cable included, poor bundle.
The EVGA GeForce 9600 GT Superclocked (512-P3-N862-AR) is a mid-range graphics card with 512MB of ram. It utilizes the stock Nvidia cooler to cool both GPU and RAM. The GPU is only slightly overclocked at 675MHz, while the RAM remains at the stock 1800MHz.
