The Pros:Excellent performance for the price, ahead of the HD3870 when filters are enabled. Reduced power consumption and heat compared to the 8800GT. Single slot design, dose not consume excessive amount of room in the case.

The Cons:Essentially a rebranded, and toned down 8800GT, nothing new to see here. Performance without filters is below the cheaper HD3870. The single slot fan can be noise, upped rpm to account for the smaller heatsink.

The EVGA GeForce 9600 GT 1024MB (01G-P3-N869-AR) is a mid-range graphics card with 1GB of ram. It utilizes the stock Nvidia cooler to cool both GPU and RAM which are clocked at the stock specification of 650MHz and 1800MHz.
