ATI Mobility Radeon X1400
$99.00
Released January, 2006
The ATI Mobility Radeon X1400 is listed as being the best-in-class for graphic cards designed for small, thin notebooks, even better than the Radeon X1300. Like earlier Radeon cards, the X1400 has Avivo built-in to deliver high-definition display and video improvements.
Like other cards in the line, the ATI Mobility Radeon X1400 uses PowerPlay 6.0 to manage its power usage, making sure the card provides high end graphics support without draining the battery dry. It includes a 90-nanometer process Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) that has ultra-threaded 3D architecture, a native 16x PCI Express bus interface, and a ring-bus memory controller. The ATI Mobility Radeon X1400 is not significantly different than other members of the Mobility Radeon X line, but it does offer improvements over previous video cards.
