Asus EAH5970

The Asus EAH5970 is a high-end video card aimed at hardcore gamers. It has a fast processor, a large amount of memory, and a memory interface scaled for large data transfer rates. The goal is to manage high frame rates at high resolutions.

This is reflected in the overall design, as standard VGA monitors are not supported.

The processor is a 725MHz ATI Radeon HD 5970, supported by a full 2G of DDR5 memory. The memory clock is set at 4GHz, and uses a 256-bit interface with the processor to maximize data transfer. The video card needs a PCI-E 2.1 slot, and outputs in DVI-I, HDMI, and DisplayPort. A CrossFire cable is included so that users can purchase a second EAH5970 and link them together in the computer for faster graphics.
