The Asus EAH5870 is a video card for the gaming enthusiast willing to spend a little extra but not ready to buy the top of the line. It has a fast processor, a good amount of speedy memory, and outputs for almost any kind of display.

The processor is a 850MHz ATI Radeon HD 5870, which works with 1G of DDR5 memory. The memory is clocked at 4.8GHz and runs 256-bit to maximize throughput. It works with PCI Express 2.1 slots, and can output in VGA, DVI-I, HDMI, and DisplayPort formats. The maximum resolution is 2560x1600, and it carries HDCP support.
Model Variations
The Asus EAH5870/2DIS/1GD5 is the standard model that comes with a DVI to D-Sub adaptor, a CrossFire cable, and a power cable. The Asus EAH5870/G/2DIS/1GD5 comes with all the same specifications and accessories, but also includes a copy of the game "DiRT 2" as a way of showing how the card works with DirectX 11.
